Yeah man. I still have the broken camshaft and the good one as well. My cams are 270* with an 8.8mm lift and it was the intake cam that snapped.sldwys wrote:Hey bro, I brought some cams in for a mate they are tomei ca18 260 deg ones.... Funny thing.... the intake cam had snapped in the post (came from japan), So As i had done some searching on good old google for snapped camshaft I came across a picture of a snapped ca18det tomei camshaft in the exact same spot? Was wondering if they were yours as they were on a "boost boy" photobucket albumn, I was wondering if you had sold these and what degree yours were so i can claim them back with the original Seller.
thanks mate.
I would. If they can fix it, cool. If they can't, I'm here. But if they can, let me know what they charge and I'll send mine in for repair. I also have spare JUN cams as well, so I'm not desperate for the Tomei units.sldwys wrote:oh okie dokie, Yeah these ones are 260 with a 8.8, Might just send them to the camshop down here to fix them they garuntee their work for 12 months! Depending on the price would you be willing to sell your spare good cam?
I have sitting around a (ex)276* with an 11.5mm lift and (int) 268* with an 11.35mm lift. Tomei 270s with an 8.8mm lift (broken intake cam) and also JUN cams #66= 264s with an 8.5mm lift. JUN 272s with a 10.5mm lift in my fully built engine and a HKS 264 and 272 with an 8.5mm lift in my B12 sentra. I have reground 270s with an 8.8mm lift in my 240 and my B13 has stock cams and a nasty turbo and manifold set-up to boost. For what you want to do, a 264 with an 8.5mm lift will be sweet.KEMP wrote:Dee, what size cams do you have layin around? im kinda looking for some 256's or close
Yeah, why not. You probably need it more than I do. We'll talk.sldwys wrote:wanna sell your tomei exhaust cam if so how much man?? guys by me here said it would be worth about 600 nzd so... 400 usd to repair? ... better off to find another cam!
