Just a couple quick questions...

1.) For Boost gauge install.. Which is the better point to T into for the vaccuum hose..... The fuel pressure regulator hose coming off the front of the intake manifold by the coolant bleeder? Or... I have a vaccuum line from the back of the manifold that used to be for the charcoal canister and stuff that I removed and blocked off...?

2.) For oil pressure... My Megan gauge came with a new sending unit.. But, the RB already has one right? It's just behind the oil filter (from my use fo the search button)? Can I just run a wire to that one... or will it give different readings?

3.) Is the audio wiring loom strong enough to run two gauges a head unit and a graphic EQ? I don't want to over tax that little power source.... but it certainly would be the most convenient place to wire these into...

Thanks for any advice you can lend!

i hooked up my boost gauge up to my intake mani that way if i have a boost leak before that i will know and you might get a pressure drop after the intercooler.

1: There is a nipple that was orginally use for the stock boost gauge on the back of the IM, use it.2: The stock opsu is an on/off switch use the sending unit that came with the gauge.3: Thats what I did minus the EQ and no problems thus far.

ps: the sending unit that came with your gauge is prolly 1/8npt and the sending port is 1/8bspt

Found the nipple right near the AAC... had an adaptor with the kit that threaded in perfectly. So, the boost gauge should be no problem.

The oil pressure gauge on the other hand... You are right.. the block is BSPT and the sender is NPT. I think I've found the right adaptor on an EVO website. I ordered it... When it get's here I will try... Otherwise, I'll probably just try to tap the block and adapt that thread from BSPT to NPT. With enough putty or loctite or something like that I should be able to avoid leaks.

DrifterTom was telling me about some sort of builder's putty.. I might try that.

I'm beginning to wonder if I even care about oil pressure any more... maybe I'll just put in a A/F gauge for the lightshow...

BTW... I got a gauge pod that replaces the air vents (well... installs two 52 mil gauges and still has a center vents for air flow). DaveReagen on ebay... Very nice. The craftsmanship is very precise.

if your sender is electrical, you might have poor readings if you surround it w/ teflon tape or putty. IIRC, the nissan thread is tighter than the sender thread. what i did was used a die to cut down the sender a bit... my autometer sender fit fine in the oem location.
