I did a boost leak test today and found a major boost leak in my TurboXS manual boost controller. Not where the tubes connect to it, but actually at the rubber rings that go around it.

I temporarily used masking tape and a tie to fix it until I can replace or repair.

Is this something that I can fix or is it a replacement only thing?

I also found that I have a small leak in my Greddy RS BOV... not as major, but can this be fixed?

Has anyone had experience of these or any ideas?

The manual Boost Controllers should leak air. It comes out of the bleeder valve unless its leaking from somewhere else.

T hanks for replying

I was trying to solve a problem I noticed. A few weeks ago, I noticed the car stopped pulling as it should and It no longer reached full boost in 1st gear until about 5/6k while it used to easily reach it before.

When I pressurise the system to check for leaks, the only point of release was at the MBC and it does not get anywhere near full boost in before it leaks all the air out.

As I said, there are no other leaks as when I pinch the MBC line, the system holds pressure fine.

I have tried gapping my NGK pluggs from the standard .042 to .036 but this did not help.

I also tried tapping up the Turbo XS temporarily to prevent leakage and work with the stock boost, but i hust get a lot of hesitation in 1st gear

any ideas anyone?

My system is a 1990 hatch, redtop with FMIC, Greddy RS BOV, stock t25, 3" catback, S15 HLSD, Enjuku CAI.
