And I think those watermelons must've been much softer than a skull. That is the only explanation. And it looks like she might have turned her head just slightly before impact so she didn't catch it square in the nose.

We used to use one of those to launch oranges when I was a kid. My buddy did the same thing, only it came back and EXPLODED on his stomach.

She had a bruise after a few minutes (on the side of her face on the cheekbone), I saw another vid showing it.

Getting hit with a watermelon is kinda like taking a medium-hard punch from a boxer... I had one dropped on my head from a 2nd story window once. It made me a little funny for an hour. I'll tell you all about it later...
