How many book hours to rebuild a KA24E? I've learned swapping engines but not how to rebuild one yet. Is there any decent writeups with pics for this engine? been searching around the web for a few hours now. 1989 240sx KA24E and i'd be building for mild turbocharging as well.Sorry if i've overlooked an older post covering this, i searched a while i promise!

Thanks

i will try to remember to look that up at work tommorow. i can tell you now its a fun project but i would steer clear of any time constraints.

Luckily i don't have any deadlines to have my 240 running again. It's purely project car at this point.

Getting an FSM would definitely help. In the end, though, wouldn't it be better to just drop a fresh KA24DE in the car and then concentrate on the turbo part of the project?

If you've got modest power goals, you can go with mild boost on stock internals. Ivan managed to get around 400hp to the wheels with proper tuning (AEM EMS) before the ring lands took a poop.
