So im completely stock even stock intercooler. I still havent gotten it running right as long as ive put it in. When its cold it runs great. After it heats up it runs horrible, no power, runnin pretty rich and spark plugs are black. I changed the temp sensor to the ecu thinking that might have been the problem, but no luck. the maf, and tps are super clean and all grounds look good. So im completely out of ideas. You guys have any ideas?

Check the knock sensor, that would cause issues like that. Causes the timing to go out of wack, rich running, but since the sensor is ignored during warm-up, it'll run fine until it's up to temp.

I would also check around for any vacuum/boost leaks as well.

Have you checked for any ECU codes?

Doesn't hurt to replace the temp sensor and 02. I know they also control fuel consumption.

Since you've already changed the CLT, try the O2, but that would only let it go so far. Get a FSM and do the diag. Check your TPS calibration. Check your plugs. Check for leaks. Use the FSM to confirm your parts are all where they belong. You really haven't done much yet to check everything.

thanks, i have checked for leaks, and plugs are fouling out like crazy. I am tryin to hook up with a local guy who also has an sr. I wana change out his maf and tps and a few other sensors and maybe ecu to see if that fixes anything. just a poor mans way of figuring it out. if that doesnt work then im gona go get a diag ran and see what that says.

ok ran a diag. My 02 sensor isnt showing up at all and the knock sensor is throwing a code now.

so i guess the next step is to check the wiring back all the way and check connections again and check the sensor and see what the deal is. I just was realy confused cause i figured if the o2 was bad it wouldnt idle at all? or it would run lean? idk maybe i have my facts confuzzed. and to all u sr gods, that knock sensor wouldnt cause my prob right? and so what exactly does it do and i know its on the block but where exactly is it?

this has just been really frusterating with this situation cause its my only means of transportation and im pretty much out of money. any other suggestions than what ive mentioned?
