That's not very encouraging. I'll be putting in new cams this week myself.

Hopefully my install goes smoothly.

Firstly, was it a SOHC or DOHC? If it was the SOHC, was it the 2 smaller bolts near cyl no. 4 that hold the big cap down on the distributor end?

Hey I broke 6 dollar bolts that took over a week to special order when I was putting on my new flywheel and clutch. When the book says that if they have been retorqued more than twice or more than 2 years old they need to be replaced, they mean it... (the bolts that hold the flywheel to the crankshaft. They are 6 dollars a piece x 6 of them =$36 plus $10 shipping=$46) They need to be torqued to somewhere around 110 lb./ft. and one of them broke at less than 20 lb./ft. which made it easier to get it out with a screw ectractor on a positive note.
