Bolted OEM roof rack

has anybody tried taking oem roof rails from some car and bolting them on theirs? it seems like it would work you would just have to find the right car with close to the same size roof. it looks so much cleaner than those silly aftermarket rails with the big Q towers. i'd like to try this just want to hear from you guys first. i love mountain biking so i'd put a nice yakima bike rack up there. heres a pic of my bike
