Looking to do the RB25det swap in my 240 in march. I just wanted to know, what BOLT ON turbos are available for it.

T3 flanges bolt right on ;) That's a GOOD thing.

A T3/T04E .63 turbine stage 3 with .60 compressor housing and 57trim wheel would fit quite well :D

Some or all t3/t4's will not bolt on. The Compressor section will hit the manifold and prevent you from being able to bolt it down.

if you are having a problem with a housing hitting the manifold, the shop I work at makes spacers for the T3 flange so it will fit.

What do you think will be a good turbo for a RB25 for around 450-500whp?

Thanks,Jeramy

Is this a suggestion, or do you have this? If you have it, how much HP is this good for? I'm trying to get the biggest turbo I can on the stock manifold.

Also."im gonna be goin BIGGER, getting a T04R-67.. so i prolly be gettin rid of a few things as a bolt on kit...

"from another thread. This adaptor........how much does it cost and does it allow for a bigger turbo? Will the turbo location heat affect any other parts on a 92 240sx?

A suggestion an engineering friend and I came up with when trying to size a nice turbo for the rb25 which had good spoolup but pulled to over 7000 rpms nicely and efficiently.

Has anyone here know about the HKS GT3037? I've heard that it's one that should use to make 450-500whp. . . . ? Does anyone know the specs o that turbo?

Thanks,Jeramy

I can't remember but I think the 3037 is quoted at 400hp and 3037 S Pro ~420hp. I'm pretty sure they mean rwhp. I remember someone did ~500+ hp with a Gt3037S on an SR so it's possible. I love HKS Compressor surge housings! Makes it sound like an 18 wheeler turbo. :D

It probably would be a little with the 57 trim. On my RB20 I'm gonna do the same thing but with a 50 trim and it should hopefully spool 16psi by 3800 rpms which is nice.

I am considering a 57 trim T3/T4 with a .63 exhaust. I did some research on Honda-tech. There are a few people over there who know there turbos. From what I have red a 57 trim compressor is better then a 60 trim compressor at lower boost levels (8-12 psi) After that the 60 trim compressor really shines (18+ PSI) Since I am planing on keeping to boost lower then 18 psi I think the 57 trim is a better choice for me.

Well you will likely have to pay a little more, but if you are staying under 18psi than a 50trim will shine MUCH more than the 57 or 60 trim period. Garret does not make 50 trims, so it will have to be made... there are tond of shops that sell them for good prices including http://www.agpturbo.com

you have to tell us what kind....

that is giving a broad range of sizes that include a/r's, trims and types of housings/wheels....

500rwhp can be had with really good tuning on a 50-60trim running 20+ psi. ANything more than 2.0 Liters and I would prolly go witha minimum of a 60-1 compressor wheel with a .82 hotside (rb25 that is...)

well i dont know which trim would be the best all around for the rb25det. good spool, but with good hp numbers. i dont car about lag that much but i dont want just a dyno queen.

to4r compressor .70t4 turbinechoice of .58a/r , .70a/r ,.84a/r or .96a/r housingwith O , P,or Q trim wheel

Oh ok... thats pretty large. Da P-trim or O-trim are better suited for that motor (me likes P on 2.4+ :p)

You want to compromise on yoru turbine a/r... the smaller you go the faster spool you will have with sacrificing a little top end.

I am pretty well set on a SC61 from precsion turbo. This turbo uses a GT40 wheel. Just gotta save my pennies.
