What is the function of the large bolt I found in the rear drivers side hatch area. It appears to thread into the center of the front bumper but i haven't figured out what it would actually be used for? My best guess is that it is an attachment point for towing the Rogue?

Anyone care to inform me?!

Thanks in advance.

Yeah that's your tow hook. When you need to be towed/pulled out when stuck this is essential, because if they hook on anywhere else it could tear your car apart, and more importantly would be very unsafe.

Cool. Is there anything else (possibly something awesome) that people do with these? I think Mini Cooper owners often paint theirs red and leave them installed all the time as a fashion thing.
