hi there people of NICO... i am stuck in a big problem... yesterday, my starter crapped out... so i'm under my car trying to remove the starter.. but here is my problem... the previous owner probably had the starter replaced before... so when i'm trying to remove the starter, i notice that the bolts that holds the starter to the transmission they are gone... well not totally gone... there are 3 bolts that holds the starter to the car.. 1 bolt is missing.. and the 2 other bolts the top part of the bolt is gone?! the only thing that is left is the thread part.. the part of the bolt that a socket goes on is gone... so i'm stuck.. any input on how to remove the broken bolt? thanks in advance... :help

if u can weld a bolt head on, thats the easiest way, but im guessing u dont have taht equipment at ur disposal, so get a good pair of vice grips and have fun

if you have thread all the way to the end and enough length you could run 2 nuts on it and tighten the 2 nuts against each other then use a wrench on the nuts to loosen it.

Last time I checked there are only two bolts holding the starter to the car on a 240sx. Are you sure you are looking at the right bolts?
