as the title says i live in the boise area, and my 91 300ZX NA is driving me to my wits end. I've been battling numerous problems, and have it worked down to one. When i tap or stab the throttle, theres a drop in rpm and a noticeable hesitation. It also does it whenever I shift up gears. If anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it, and i'm sure I could compensate you for your time.

Unfortunately hesitation is a problem with a lot of potential culprits, so first off let me say to check the stickies at the top of the page where thee is an area about hesitation and some quick help. The Online Service Manual is also of value with a lot of tests to narrow down the problem if an obvious culprit is not present.

I will take a stab however given your description of the problem and brief background to say to check for a vacuum leak, somewhere around the area (s) you may have worked as you mentioned battling numerous other issues (may help to mention them?), and around the throttle bodies and balance tube (tube bar on back of engine/top of intake manifold), being sure to check the larger Idle Air circuit tubing for cracked/pinched/unplugged. Check the vacuum tubing to the fuel pressure sensor and anywhere else you can see or may have brushed against/removed to access something else.

Hope this helps?

You'll need a Dremmel tool. Take the stock center hub cover off of one of the stock Z wheels. Using the Dremmel, cut out the "Z" logo in the hub cover. Using Duct-tape, tape the center hub cover over the lens of your flashlight. Wait till after sunset. Turn your flashlight on and shine it up at a low level cloud, emblazoning the cloud with the world renowned sign of the "Z" in the night sky. You will be contacted soon after.

You're welcome.
