Ok so how exactly will i measure this, i have tried a couple of times but i never get readings so i must be doing it wrong, i unplug the CTS sensor and the three pins it has or two i tap with the voltmeter pins. How will i touch them, like put one as ground and the other to the pins in the connector, or each of the two voltmeter sticks into one of the sensor pins? Please let me know how the procedure goes, thanks i really appreciate it.

hey you can see gas fumes in the exhaust? Take off the oil cap and smell the oil. If it smells really strongly of gasoline you might have a torn injector O ring. (if you have removed them it's very likely that they tore going back in)

Removing the temp sensor wire harness and you should see 2 connections. You will be making a resistance measurement on the sensor(engine side), not on the wire harness! Making sure you use a meter that can measure resistance(ohms setting), in the proper range of what you expect to measure. First touch your 2 test probes together and you should read something close to 0, then you know your meter is working. Then touch your 2 test probes onto the 2 connections of your temp sensor. Do one test with your engine cold(before 1st start of the day). Do the next test with your engine fully warmed up. You may have to change the meter range setting to get a good measurement. Remember, this test is done with the wiring harness plug disconnected. Compare your 2 measurements to the specifications provided in an earlier thread.
