Over the tops mods like that are just riduculous. Whoever did that has too much money, too much free time, and too little good taste.
Another good example of this is a guy I saw on TV at an import car show. He had a Honda Civic. Crazy body kit, Lamborghini-style scissor doors, wild stereo, paint, etc, etc. He claimed he had spent 100k building it. The first thought in my mind was that he could have bought a real nice three year old 996 Twin Turbo for that kind of cash. Sooner or later, he will end up selling that Honda, and I doubt he could get 25% of what he has in it. If he keeps it for 10 years and drives it only on weekends, it will still be essentially worthless. I understand that he gets the joy of hot rodding it, but he should at least start with a platform that is a performer to start with. Sooner or later, most people sell their projects and start new ones that are partly financed with the sale of the old one.
Those of you you have seen my posts know I have nothing against extensive mods, but enthusiasts like that make me laugh.
