anyone interested in a body kits from japan I'm the man to see, but it is only on a special order / non cancellable/non refundable basis.... see the price on any japanese website and multiply that by .013 and that will be the cost which includes shipping from japan, customs, import tax and paperwork to california, then probably an extra 200-300 depending on location to ship to the east coast.

total transaction will take 3 to 6 weeks.

390,000 yen X .013 = $5070.00 plus any usa shipping and usa sales tax.

What do you do about getting bumpers? Example: the Wald kit is lips that attach to the stock bumpers, the JDM stock bumpers are not the same size as the USDM, and they have different cut-outs. I would love to get the Wald kit as it's the best looking, IMO, and it's cheap. With your price, it's still only ~1100$ + shipping, although, I live in L.A. and close to the port.

WALD kits are a bargain compared to everything else.

Because they're lip based and retain stock bumpers. Still, they are the cleanest. Wald Executive Line is the way to go for me if I got a kit at all. The Wald kit's look like factory options they're so clean.

I like the Admiration G50 kit, but no way I'm buying a kit that costs more than my car is worth...

Keep us posted on the 94-96 Wald - if the price is right, I'm down.

I already knew that was the answer, we need the JDM bumpers to make a Wald kit fit.

Oh, notice what the JAPANESE call it: Y33 not FY33.

Yes, but they don't look as nice, in my mind at least. Impul is the highest quality, but also one of the most expensive.

I sell these kits as well, and they don't come cheap, even for a dealer! I only sell 2-3 kits a year.

But not Nissan. Kind of reflects on the integrity of most aftermarket suppliers; if it bolts on, it's alright.

The Y33 is the generic name for the entire Y33 generation... FGY33 is the nomenclature for the Q45, and so on.....

Like the NG50 is the NA Q45, HG50 is the JDM Q45 or president, and so on...

I know that.... yet no one calls your gen anything other than G50. I will always refer to my gen as Y33 Q45.

Haha...it was really hilarious watching you guys argued without a same base of reference. Everyone is right and no one is wrong here, just a different base of reference. If someone has to be blamed for, I'd say that is Nissan because they designated the models differently in Japan and NA. Why can't they just use the same?

President: G50 (Japan)'90 - '96 Q45: HG50 (Japan) and G50 (NA)'97 - '01 Q45: FGY33 (Japan) and FY33 (NA)

So if someone is not from NA, for example Australia (I saw some Australian members here), see a discussion about an FY33 she/he would probably wonder what the heck is an FY33. In that sense, calling the '97-'01 Q45 an FGY33 or a Y33 Cima would make more sense in term of global communication even though FY33 in NA is correct.

In my opinion, I'd prefer the '97-'01 Q45 to be called FGY33 or Y33 Cima but it really doesn't matter what we call it here. If someone mentions about a Y33 and the person appears to be in the US than I'd know that person is talking about a '97-'01 Q45 because there was only one version of the Y33 line available in the US: the FGY33.

There's a US FGY33 (US bumper) with a Wald body kit just popped up on VIPStylecars.com. Here's the link:

Very close!

The President is a "P" G50 the Q45 is a G50 If it has full-active suspensionit has an "H"before the G50

so if it's an Active suspension President it is PHG50Reg-suspension president would be a PG50

Active Q45 is a HG50 Reg-Suspension is a G50

The Y33 is a Q41

Going by engine displacement that is.

The M45 is a "Y" body car too.

Now the Cima is built on the F50 body no longer a Y body car.

until 2002 the Cima was built on the Y body...

As I understand the footrest/pass through is a JDM only thing and was originally only on the Presidents. The concept is the owner of most of these in Japan have drivers and they can strecth their legs while being driven around. Thus is should be on the "opposite" seat as we'd need here in the US, wonder if they swapped the seat back or the whole seat??

I'm pretty sure it's available on both seats, otherwise, it would screw up the side SRS. I've seen pics in the magazines wih both of them flipped down like that. What I'd really like to get is the rear arm-rest stereo and climate control pannel! That is just perfect for the back.
