body kit question

General discussion forum about the 240sx, and a great place to introduce yourself to the board!

has anyone had any experiences with the andy's autosport body kits. im trying to find out what kind of fitment they have. Also what kind of mods to my bumber would be necessary. this is the kit i am probably gonna get to replace my stock bumper. Any help would be appreciated.

my buddy had an andy's kit on his civic and it fit good, but then again that's a civic . my other buddy had one on his cougar and one side of the front bumper had an inch gap from the fender. I say go with a company that focus' more on the 240.

yeah i found a way to get a bomex kit for like 850 already but i gotta wait to talk to the bank about a loan and for my friend to talk to the nissan people about some parts. this is a time where i get to make my car look the way i wanna because right now it is missing pieces

You can find better quality kits. wholehyper has bomex kits pretty cheap. They also carry do-luck, cwest, and some others. Enjuku has the chargespeed kit for around $1000.

i've heard that Andy's is kind of a hit-or-miss proposition. . . they tend to use their molds many times longer than they should. so, if you're lucky and get one of the first batches out of a certain mold then it'll fit fine. . . but if you're unfortunate and get one of the later castings then the kit will be all warped and require a bunch of modification to get it to fit. . .

sure they're cheap but there's a reason why. . . cost cutting at it's finest

what about the bomex kits whats the fitment. with this front end does anyone know if i have to remove the metal bumper

no the loan is to fix my car/ body kit is gonna replace oem bumpercar got busted the other day and i need it fixed quick

liability only. i figure if im gonna replace stuff i might as well fix it better than good. ya know. koyo radiator, some dem lectric fans n maybe make it look a little meaner
