Hmmm. IMHO self mutilation of the genitals because some girls might think it interesting enough to want to examine is not enough reason for me to do it. But that's just me. But if you want to do it, and you feel the rewards are worth the pain, then I see no problem with it.

Any piercing feels weird when you get it. Even something as simple as regular ol' earrings. It takes a while to get used to anything you change on your body, no matter where it is. But eventually it becomes a part of you and you don't really think about them like that anymore. And some things you do differently depending on the piercing but it becomes 2nd nature after a while.

If you didn't do it for attention, then why point it out to everyone. You said you had a bunch of girls that wanted to see it, which means you had to tell them about it. Not knocking you for it, I have piercings too, but I think a lot of people get some of them for the attention they bring. You said you were a modest guy, but you seem to be contradicting yourself. If you're are truly a modest guy, wouldn't only a few people even know about it?

I'm not hating (promise), I just don't like to see people take something that I'm also into (tattoos, piercings), go crazy with it, then claim they didn't do it for the oohh aahh factor and continue to brag about it all. Then when someone asks why, it's the "you wouldn't understand" excuse.

Piercings started out with expressions and meaning as thier purpose, now they are mostly used for bragging rights.
