Do you buy it from home depot? Is it that stuff you use for piping insulation.

you mean to put in frame rails? if you use the foam in a can, it will never work...that stuff requires air to dry and harden, trust me, i tried using it for different devices (read PVC bone breaking stick) didnt work...

SPL carries some of the body foam used to support the structure of a car. I would only use it for true road racing purposes. The moment any of that stuff cracks, it has to be taken completely out of the area and reinstalled.

I meen this stuff doesn't crack at all. Its kinda bouncy in a way. They use it to reinforce pipes through a hole

Has a yellow color to it.

I dunno. I am lost lol. I figured after my body is welded i could use that yellow stuff on the lines inside the body then put a custom roll cage and i figured that would do some good.

I think the yellow stuff is in a can

well that pipe wasn't moving at all. The only way of moving it was chipping the foam away. So i figured hey! why not do that?

ummmm... If i shuve my head into my fender there is air. If i shuve my head into the engine bay there is air. Its not like some of the body panels are air tight....

ONe of the guys that used to manage a store around here was into drag racing and told me he used that spray insulation foam in his quarter panels and others, to prevent denting. I donno how true that is but hey its what he told me.

I thought this was going to be another pictures thread...:(

I've used "Great Stuff" from the hardware stores before with good results. Marine supply stores might have a better selection though.

I keep thinking about making a surfboard blank out of the "Stuff"
