Hey guys tires are taking a beating. My fronts are fine but my rear passenger tire is rubbing almost constantly when I make turns or hit little bumps.
The quarter panel on the rear right has body filler in it so I need some help on what to use to trim it. I heard a grinder would work and i kinda tried that but it didn't really help. Also heard an air saw would work? Can someone please school me on this. Wish I could roll my fenders but it will crack

You can see how we tried to push up the fender but all it did was crack paint

Here is what it looks like right now, theres a chunk out of it from where tried grinding it... We didn't want to mess it with it more.

Yes it's bondo... So I can take sandpaper and just sand it?

I have not had the fenders rolled. A pull may crack the bondo. The only part of my car
that has bondo in it is the passenger rear quarter. Not planning on going lower because of
the streets here

so the filler is what's rubbing the tire or is the fender lip? imo either way it might crack the paint bro. Cause it's hitting the fender with some force the eventually with start to chip, crack r pop the filler lose. so you might want to go ahead and look at rolling and fixing the filler then. you know save you some headache later on down the road

Bondo is not supposed to be that thick. No matter what you do it is most likely going to crack and pop at some point. I would roll them and hope for the best if it pops then fix it right. A dremel with a sanding bit might work well in that area if you are trying to keep from having to do any paintwork. I have a feeling that your tires are going to rub no matter what unless you roll and maybe pull that fender.

Well I still haven't fixed this problem. Waiting on my dad to get back in town so he can help but I tried sanding it with my hand and a peice of sandpaper and yeah I learned quick that I'm a newb.
We have a sander that you use your hand with but are you talking about an electrical one or something?

you just gota sand. and sand. and sand. with a good sanding block thats soft and flexible.
i use a drywall block wrapped in ductape and that soft felt stuff from arts and crafts store. the the sandpaper over that. works perffeccttt on curves.
