Hi guys,

It's kinda weird question, but I'm just wondering, have you guys ever notice two body color sticker on each side of the altima coupe car, located on the lower part of the body, just near the rear wheel (in between the front and rear wheel) ?

I just got my altima coupe and didn't notice that when I got it from the dealer...just wondering if that's just standard, or something else...coz, i don't see the need for that sticker to be there...

Thanks,Haku

I was wondering about that too, I am still debating wether to keep it or take it off. It is hardly noticeable so I probably leave it on, since I am lazy like that.

I was thinking to take that off, but i'm afraid it will not peel off nicely and leave some marks or damage the paint...haha...I just don;t understand why they are there at the first place...

I noticed it at pick up at the delivery. I am told they are there to prevent scratches from road debris but it seems like they are in a place that road debris would never hit. I think I was fed a line because the sales guy had no clue. I know that those exact type of stickers are used on motorcycle tanks to protect from scratches from you jacket so I assume they are some kind of scratch protection but I am not sure how they think you will ever get scratches there. I left them on because they were so unnoticeable.

I was told the same thing when I picked up my car. They are there to prevent stone chips. I had asked the dealer to take them off since I thought they might be protection from being transported to the dealer. They told me that this is what they were for then showed me some on the Murano etc. Needless to say, I still have them on since they would not take them off. I worry the paint might come off with them.

I would prefer to take my chances with stone chips!

I was wondering about that too and I have no answer for what they are, I'm leaving them on as long as they are not noticeable.

It's 3M paint protection film -- the same material they use for the clear bra product. It's intended to minimize damage from road debris -- apparently road chips, etc., tend to occur in those locations. Nissan puts it on the 350Z in the same spot.

I was told they had something to do with the straps from the car carrier truck. Hmmm.... I'm leaving them.

That is some sort of clear bra. it should peel right off with no problem. I would leave it on since that is a hot spot for chips and scratches.
