im still trying to get my idle down. it still hovers at around 1100k. but when i warm up car, turn off, disconnect tps, then start again something wierd happens. i have to keep on the gas for a few seconds so it wont stall right at startup, then the idle bobs between 800-1100k. is this normal?? this makes it impossible to adjust the idle. ive looked over and over for vacuum leaks but i havnet found any, unless theres some place i cant see. what would be the causes for this bobbing??

Running the car w/o the TPS would cause strange thing w/ the idle.

you either have a stuck open FICD or a vaccum leak somewhere. the idle should not hunt when you disconnect the tps. what you re doing when you disconnect the tps is taking the engine out of computer control, its called base idke or base timing. that is part of the procedure out of the FSM. you definitly have a problem with your air circuit somewhere.

oh yea its a bugger its held down by 2 10mm bolts you can fish in a 10mm wbbly socket then fish the unit out.
