Think I'll shorten mine as well but from the other side and fit a KC cab. That looks so cool. Show it in the daylight, it's unique.

Also looking forward to a outdoor picture. That's an awesome idea though, I'm tempted to follow suit.

I'd totally shorten my bed for a king cab.. get a bed to replace my flatbed and bob the front and back.. LOL 4 foot bed? would look like the newer 4 door sporty trucks. Either that or build a narrower flatbed for wheeling. And make all of them quick to detach/swap.

(behind the shackle) my other question is is is that roll bar rare? i thought about takin it out, but see i remember seeing an old ad for one of these trucks and it had the stock roll bar and i was like wow thats awesome. i like these trrucks alot. alot of people dislike them but i dont im only 17 so people look at me like im some dumb kid but im not lol.

What are your plans for this rig? You gonna flex it out like that yota? I'm currently planning out a solid axle conversion, not sure yet where I'm going to get parts from. Heck I can't even decide on coils or leaves up front. no one makes kits for these rigs above 3 inches for the front and 1-2 in the rear. I'm not thinkin crazy, yet. but being able to flex 35's is where I want to be in the forseeable future--A 720 to give toys a run for their money. As it is I think my cv's are at max capacity, at a flex with a front tire hangin the diff or cv chatters. Really would like at least a dana 44/gm 12 bolt setup minimum!

Anyone hear much about 4 linking a rear end and using.. I guess they would be called quarter eliptical springs, probably wrong on that. years ago I saw a search and rescue yota with half an arched spring, turned upside down, mounted to the frame as such so that the eye of the spring was centered over the rear axle at a pivot, was 4 linked, with a small custom flat bed and sitting on 38's. Was beastly, a petrifying experience, and I've been into offroading since.

Anyways, sorry to ramble on like this. I guess I just get excited to see another 4x4 guy on the site who wants to go big. Let us in on some plans =)

im defiantly going ssolid axle i was gonna 4 link but leafs are way easyer, i wanna go with yota axles so its stilll street legal, with half tons (full width) your gonna need to get like 12 inch fender flares lol but on the other hand if i go with any thing other then yotas it will be ford 9 rear 44 front or 14 bolt rear 44 front. ill probly use s-10 blazer rear springs for the rear sence they are sprung under stock with huge arch. front will probly be all pro 5 or 6's. but it will be far from stock. the main reason i wanna build it is beacause i have NEVER seen a bad a sased 720 cruisin down the road. or trail but i can tell ya right now when i build it there will be alot of pics!

man, I am green with envy of that yoter. I am running 31's on my nissan, and it's all I can do to keep the tires from rubbing on the cab when I hit the whoops out on the sand. Another 3" of lift would be sweet, but since I have never done suspension work, I am not sure how to go about it. Plus the wifey and kids keep emptying the wallet before I can get my hands on anything.

You running a body lift moredunes720?

Nice tip on the rear s10 springs. I keep leaning toward springs for the front for the same reasons, cheaper, easier way to gain air. I've been looking for a prerunner style fender for this rig but cannot find anything earlier than the hardbody style 86.5+. Those cheap 3 inch fender flares aren't even going to be enough for 33x12.5's with the right offset wheels so you don't rub lock to lock. I'm not buyin tires either unless they are 35x12.5+ Having them sit in the garage will make for great motivation. Now might just be the time to learn how to fiberglass

It doesn't help that my driveway is similar to what people trek miles to go play on. 2wd just doesn't survive out here. They're parked 4-5 winter months of the year. Snow in California? It can be found, if you go to a high enough elevation. I used to live in Utah, miss it. Moved out of there before I was old enough to get my license. Crazy wheelin everywhere to be had.

You're right though, I should probably stick with a yota/jeep front end until I'm ready to go extreme. saw a rolling chassis cherokee goin for 100 bux the other day. Would be easier to snag an axle already 4linked. Have you looked to see how the frame narrows at the front? IMO the 720 is dyin for coilovers on all 4's. Check this out, not sure if I like the idea of a 3 link, but it looks like fun! http://www.4wdandsportutility.....html

I love the look of a king cab with a bobbed bed. xD Oh, found a source for a SAS kit for a toyota front end, high steer and all. Wouldn't take much to modify this into the 720 frame. I priced out most of the parts in this kit and you can't even buy the parts seperately for this price. Not unless you get them wholesale. Don't mean to ninja your thread bro, but ya gotta check this out. Summit would finish your rear lift, 100 bones each for 4 inch lift springs, then shocks, and fab your own shackles to level the ride. = golden.
