boaring it out!

i have been talking to my mechanic, and we ended up in the converstion of boaring out an engine. i told him that i heard of the new g37 from infiniti...and he told me that nissan(inifiniti) sells a boar kit for the g35 that brings up the 3.5liter engine to a 3.8 liter.i like that idea of boaring out an engine, so i was wondering if anyone has heard of, or has boared out their engine. i have a 1990 300zx N/A. what do you guys think?

I don't think nissan offers a bif bore kit for the vq35 but I know there si an aftermarket kit to take it up to 4.2! but hold onto your wallet!

Your mechanic is wrong. Nissan isn't in the business of offering aftermarket engine power adders, the mild nismo bolt on stuff is as extreme as they get.

For your VG in your 300ZX, JUN sells a stroker kit for it.

nissan motorsport used to offer a 3.1 stroker kit for the 2.8 L6 but it was basically a parts bin kit, and with the popularity of the nismo line nissan motorsport hasn't had any new offerings in years

the jun stroker kit is over 10k not including installation -- i talked to Kyle at Import Parts Pro -- he said the stroker kit is not worth the effort -- besides you could buy 4 turbo front clips for that amount of $$
