ok heres a dumb question. can i use soccer shin guards instead of the bmx ones? the reason i ask because target has a set for 10 bucks, and i would just wear them under my jeans. or are the bmx ones longer?

The bmx/skateboard ones are probably made of a thicker/denser composite. Generally soccer shin guards are made to stay really light. But, some is better than none and you can't beat 10 bux.

Nice pics! Howd that tailwhip go without a Giro? (sp?)

I sold my Felt today cos I'm leaving. All I got was a lowsy 40 Euro from the local bike shop. But hey, they gotta make money too. That and I noticed it had a little play in the stem as I was waiting for him to come check it out. Suuuucked when I found that out.

Heyyyy, I rock a Felt frame too. Tailwhips and barspins are fine without a Gyro if as long as you dont do anymore than one at a time. I have to spin them back after everytime I do one, haha.

Are all BMX bikes single-speed freewheel, or are some of them fixed gear?

I'm working on a fixed gear road bike build at the moment, but it seems like having a fixie BMX would be a neat ride too.

I used to ride dirt but then these kids found out about them and they were asses and the dirt jumps eventually got closed. Gat-*** kids. Im going to get into freeriding with a MTB soon though

I have a aluminum diamond back from back in the day. Ride it almost daily between 6-15 miles. Been thinking about getting a mountain bike though. What would be a decent cheaper mountain bike for trail riding?
