bmw question. for a friend

what size are z3 wheels and how much room is there to put wider wheels. im not having any luck searching for the info.....and......to top it offf all the forums that claim to be the difenitive source of all bmw info have none of the info i need....so go figure on that one.

stock on most 2.5 roadsters should be 16x7

stock on most 2.8/3.0 coupe/roadsters should be 17x7.5

I've talked to a guy running 18x8 225/40/18 Front, and 18x9 255/35/18 rear.

I've heard 18x8.5 will not fit up front.

the stock 17's are shod in P225/45ZR17 front - P245/40ZR17 rear

the ///M coupe and roadster do track wider, but I do not know specificallyhow much. with as little power as that car actually makes (non ///M ones that is)I would tell your friend to be careful in plus sizing and to always test fit!
