BMW owns chase sequences

I love chase sequences in movies. In fact, I love them so much, a spectacular chase sequence can turn a turd of a movie into must-have movie material. Case in point, Ronin, Gone in Sixty Seconds and The Transporter. All three are underwhelming drivel but because of the awesome chase sequences in each they've been added to my DVD collection. Don't have the Transporter yet, but I've placed an order.

I just noticed that in each of these movies, there's always a BMW involved in the chase. On top of the ultra-slick BMW films mini-movies, I think BMW has a choke-hold on classic chase sequences. Why can't Nissan pay big bucks for product placement and lend the M45 or the Skyline in an upcoming movie?

The only reason I purchased Ronin was because of the two lengthy chase scenes. I love the Audi in it!!

Oh yeah, Skyline...Fast and Furious 2. But it's not the new Skyline.

i went to Z.com to try and DL the trailor of that movie, but couldn't find it. i did get a nice screensaver though

I don't know what happened. They used to have the trailer there but they don't anymore. You can look at the list of movie theaters and see if the trailer is playing in a theater near you.

Yeah, i forget whch night it was, but i wa watching speed channel the other day, or a few week ago, ad saw a compilation of all of the movies directed by people such as John Woo, Guy Ritchie and others, awsome chases, ihave them on Kazaa.

Anybody know the model designation of the BMW in Ronin..? And where did they get bigger injectors and nitrous for an Audi S8? And who wouldn't kill to drift an Audi S8 on wet pavement? FYI: Euro-spec Audi S4 now comes with S8's V-8 and will soon come to our shores

A 350z was featured with a BMW Z8 in the show "Fastlane" recently. The two cars raced around for a solid 10 minutes! The chase scene made me have to get up and change my pants, as the 350z obviously slapped the Z8 around like it was no problem

The BMW in Ronin was a 740i I believe.

Due to the fact that you own an Altima, 240sx, and WRX, acquiring an RS-6 would then change your status to "Super Pimp".

I was "Super Pimp" in high school with my 84 Caprice Classic and my 87 in College. Nothing says, "pimp" like a ghetto sled with fake wood interior getting airborne.
