Great video. This is my first time seeing the new M6. That track looks like a blast too.

That track is the german nurburgring, it is like a test track for german manufacturers but i think they open it to the public often too.

they also run an f1 race there, and they have a bunch of touring car races, including a 24 hour run

If I'm not mistaken, the Nurburgring (sp?) actually has parts of it that are public roads. There are sections of the track that are driven on by delivery trucks, family sedans, mopeds, etc. every day. In fact, anyone can do a hot lap of the track on almost any day. All you do is approach what is essentially a toll booth at the beginning of the track, pay like $15-20, and away you go. They don't even make you sign a waiver because the attitude is "you mess up and die, it's your fault, not the track administration's." How cool is that?

The F1 race is no longer held at the "Original Nurburing" anymore. The Germans have built another Nurburing right next to that one, its nothing like that one. Back in the day in the 50's and 60's F1 races have been held there.

i thought the f1 race used a small part of the nordschlief (sp?), something like how road courses here have sections that can be formed into different arrangements. they use a small part of the course, i know the whole complex is massive, but i do believe its part of the original track, just of course not nearly all of it. i do know the track has sections though, thats a fact.
