So i was invited to the local BMW Dealership's (Dryer and Reinbold) party to introduce the new M3 coupe, 135i, and X6 Sports Vehicle. Let me tell you, it was freaking amazing. The party itself was cool, but i was surprised how comfortable the M3's seats were. They are easily more comforable than the seats in the G, not to mention wider. I know this car is a bit more expensive than the G, but i still cant get over how thick the steering wheel was. Although i would never get one even if i could afford it, man, they do cars right there. Say what you want about the drivers being pricks, the cars breaking down, paying for the name, but when it comes down to brass tacks, they know what they are doing. As for the 135i, it was amazingly small. Id consider it as a replacement for the G, but i suspect it is too smal lfor me. Lastly, the X6. I was surprised how good it looks in person. If i were in the market for an SUV, id seriously consider it. Id prolly get it over the new FX. All in all, tons of swag, tons of sexy women, tons of horsepower. Not bad for a quite tuesday night in Indianapolis.

you had me at "tons of sexy women" and I think its brass tacks LOL

I am very interested in the 135i. My previous company closed down last Friday so I am technically unemployeed right now but have been in the process of opening my own company since December. I will probably do a lease vehicle soon that I will use for work/sales purposes only to make my itemized deductions a little easier. The 135i is at the top of the list!

Nice write up but do you think your a big enough a-hole to drive a bimmer? Just kidding

its probably not the most fiscally responsible thing one could do, but after reading about the vishnu ECU reflash available for the 335i, i can only imagine what the reflash would do for the 135i....... Dear God the possibilities....

The reason the 135i and 335i are so "slow" is to protect the M3 cash cow. A properly modded 135/335 should be able to keep up with an M3 in most races and DUST it in a few.

Just read the Vishnu article DADDY LIKES! An important note is $1300 to Vishnu = 340rwhp and 399 lb torque AT THE WHEELS!! that car NEEDS Nitto 555r drag radials on the back desperatly

i had the air intake system, didnt really care for it, not to mention the hit i got on gas milage. I ended up getting rid of it and replacing the stock air filter with a K&N filter instead. not as impressive, but not as noisy. I'm a fan of sleeper cars. thats why ill never get an exhaust system, turbo, etc for this car.

Dinan has a software upgrade for the 335i as well...been out for some time. The biggest thing to note is that Dinan has a 4year/50k factory warrant that covers consequential damages too!

My boss has a 335i Sedan and the thing flies already...I couldn't imagine it with Dinan/Vishnu software.

I lived in Indy for 28 years and a close friend of mine from back in Indy went to that same event at Dryer and Reinbold. You two probably bumped into each other and didn't know it... He said the same thing as you... he thought the X6 looked wicked and the M3 was a monster. He's an MP3 designer for Thompson consumer electronics so he has the loot to drop on an M3, but he's leaning towards the X6 or the 1 series for now. Small World!

I :tried: to sit in the 1 Series at the auto show and found it to be far too cramped for my frame (6'2"). I have broad shoulders and the car made me feel like Gulliver...
