Airbags are most definitely not active.

Big difference.

Seriously. BMW has had some of the best handling cars on the road for years and years and years.

Indeed. Too bad they're left resorting to electronic gimmicks. Although, MB is far worse.

As Japanese manufacturers go, I'd put Mazda a notch ahead of Nissan/Infiniti.

Its too bad they have some of the worst looking cars on the road lately. That 5 series is terrible. Even in m5 garb its bad.

I just got into the green T in a well lit parking lot here at night---the car looked fab. It snowed eariler today and the white contrasted off the deep green Q and the 01 Q sport wheels. Better looking than any of today's bimmers IMO.

I would have to agree my wife has a 04 330ci with AC Schnitzer 18s and it is perfect. One of the best looking shapes ever. I can appreciate the power of the new 335i, but in in my opinion the E46 is a classic

We need to excommunicate Chris Bangle! The 3 series doesn't look too bad, but the 5 and 6 series... YUCK!

nice ride silver2k2

I have a strong history with BMW and a passion for these cars that stems deep. I see the beauty within, even with the latest generation. I guess beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. This is probably going to get me in trouble, but here goes:

Here are a number of reasons why I like them:

Alpina B7. My favorite Bimmer since the Dinan E38. The facelifted ones are MUCH better looking (particularly because they lack the rear strip reflector that looks like it fell of a pickup at a construction site).

The new 3 is okay. Not as good looking as the last one, but still okay.

The rest of the current BMW lineup is universally fugly. The 6 is ugly beyond words. And what's with the "oops...wrong size" front corner markers on the X3? Looks horrible!
