0 to 60 mph for the G35 is about 5.5 seconds. According to BMW's web site, it is 6.1 seconds for the 328i manual. An automatic will be slower.
Depending on options, either of you may have paid more.
The BMW only comes with run-flat tires. The are rough riding, short-lived, expensive to replace and (supposedly) not repairable. Even if your cousin replaces them with conventional tires (many BMW owners have), he will still have to invent a place for a spare tire of some kind or go without one. The G35 comes with conventional tires and it has a mini-spare. The spare isn't a full size tire, but it's better than what your cousin has.
The BMW only has traction control. A limited slip differential is an aftermarket item. The G35 has both traction control and limited slip.
BMWs cost less during the warranty period because service is free. After that, watch out! Over the long haul, your G35 will require fewer repairs than a BMW and the bill for them will be lower.
BMW gas mileage will be about 10% better than a G35. Even at today's prices, this is chicken feed.
