The HX 35 turbo and treadstone manifold are not clearing the BMC. I am getting frustrated and have at least an inch to go before it clears let alone gives room for a blanket or shield.

SO I'm thinking drastic now... help me.

Can I permenantly tilt the engine approx 3 or 4 degrees C-Clockwise? I'm not sure if there's a reason why this is bad???

If it is bad, then I could sell it for something smaller OR buy a manifold that relocates the turbo.

is your brake booster an auto one? those are larger than the manual ones, also you could move your brake system to the trunk...ive seen a setup where they had a clutch master where the brake booster and bmc were and then put the assembly in the trunk....its was on a s13 v8 build it might be somewhere on nico still

I have a 5 spd. Not really wanting to do that much rerouting to the trunk.

idk how much clearance it would give you but you can lower the motor 3/4 of an inch safly. you can make your own drackets or xcessive makes them. http://www.xcessivemanufacturi...tep=4

Can you flip the treadstone and go bottom mount?

Those type of manifolds have always had issues with clearance. I believe they are designed for an on-center turbine housing.

Some people have had success with the hockey puck method. Insert a puck between the motor mounts. That should give about an inch of added clearance. My car has ABS, does yours? If so that's why nothing fits. I had issues with the older top mount ebay mani and the rev hard which is what treadstone is.

Screw mounting crap in the trunk Unless it's propane that is

The angle of the treadstone (if upside down) would send the turbo into the wheel well. But yeah I thought the same thing.

I am gonna experiment today with lowering the motor.

Noluck.. turbo is simply too big for the manifold.

So I'm going to start looking around for a forward flange T3 or I'll just go ahead and get a custom kit.
