well we tried bolting the turbo onto the Boost Designs manifold and couldn't. the standard T3/T4 barely cleared it and the T70 definitely wasn't going to. so i did some research and found out that a automatic 240, which is what the car used to be, comes with a larger brake booster to aid in stopping and staying stopped say when you come to a stop sign or red light. well the larger booster sticks out maybe and 1 1/4" farther which was causing the turbos to hit the Brake Master Cylinder. well, i sourced a manual transmission brake booster and bought an AC Delco replacement BMC in 17/16" dia. and installed that in place of the factory 240sx BMC which for those of you that don't know is 15/16" dia. well i am happy to sya that all clearance issues have been taken care of and the Super 70 clears everything fine. just going to need to bag the turbo, wrap the downpipe, and shield some parts maybe like the BMC and the power steering reservior. and just so you know, i did all the work. i just wanted to know how all this stuff works and even though i am paying to have a shop do all this i just though i turn some wrenches for a while.

another pic. i need to take another pic of it from the front, i swear the turbo is flush on top with the valvecover and intake manifold. looks like this setup came from the factory or something.

not gonna be doing anything else to it for another week until THP moves into their new shop.

good info about the BMC, i remember reading it a while back but it was a lil unclear. everything is explained clearly now. what other mods do you have to support that large turbo you got there? looks good.

thanks. i was hoping that this information would help someone out there. that problem had come up a few times last time i turboed a 240 and this time i decided it wasn't going to hold me back from a big turbo and i decided to solve the problem.
