Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Not the iPhone. Well, there's some benifit, but i'll explain. I love my iPhone, probably my favorite phone i've ever owned, but it won't sync its phonebook with the car's phonebook through bluetooth. you have to actually enter any number you plan to use manually. I guess the benifit of that is only that you end up entering the numbers you use most frequently instead of having to scroll through every number you have (i guess voice tags help there). The main benifit of the iPhone is that i don't have to have 2 separate devices in my car at the same time, especially with such little storage space in the cockpit area. ipod...phone...one nice little hookup. (oh, but when plugged in, it doesn't fit so well in the little tray in the arm rest...man, i guess it really isn't the best phone for the EX at all... bah...i still love it)

We bought the Samsung "Alias", through Verizon. So far it's been flawless. It's basically my wifes phone. I find the buttons to be too small for me. The BLACKBERRIES seem to work well.

I have a Motorola Razor Vc3 and it works very well , the only bad thing I found out this weekend , my wife decided to drive my EX35 to the store and I was in the house and called my buddy on my cell and while I was talking to him it connected to the car as she started it in the garage and after she drove out of range it hung up on me . She called me on my cell from her cell from the EX35 and asked if I was trying to call her as she heard voices through the stereo , I said no I was talking to my buddy and she said OH ........... So she hung up and my buddy called me right back , and I told him why we got disconnected . We had a chuckle about that .

Since the EX35 only has forty (40) spots to enter telephone numbers in its database, it's no big deal that I couldn't "push" my phone book from my iPhone to the EX35. I've got over 100 numbers in my iPhone so they wouldn't all fit in the first place.

Plus, the EX35 has the ability to allow you to link a voice command to each phone book entry. This has to be done manually anyway so it's really not that much more work to simply type in the name and number. Again, we are only talking a total (maximum) of 40 entries.

Frenchie -

Not exactly the Infiniti of cell phones, the LG VX5400 works fine with my EX. Pairing it with the car went very smoothly - I used the instructions from the Infiniti/Bluetooth web site.

Making and receiving calls handsfree in the car with this phone has been no problem. I suspect all the phones Infiniti suggests will work will indeed work.....

I wish it were possible to import phonebook entries using the Compact Flash reader... I could export my contacts out of Address Book (on OS X) in standard .vcard format to the flash card, put it in the EX, and go.

In fact, this is going on the requested features forum topic...

I dunno why these systems have so much problem with Windows Mobile Professional devices. They support all of the features of Windows Mobile Standard devices like Blackjack. I've never been able to upload my entire phonebook from a Windows Mobile Pro device to one of these nav systems.

anyways, I can confirm that a Treo 750 running WM6 works fine. battery and strength indicators are there. phonebook must go one entry at a time though.

I just got my EX last Saturday. My current Samsung phone works fine with it but I'm about to change to a Blackberry Bold. Has anyone used the Bold with the Infinity bluetooth yet? I'm assuming it will work since most other BB phones seem to. The Bold doesn't appear in the phones being tested on the Infinity site. They must be way behind if they are still testing the IPhone! Thanks,Pete
