I have a Motorola SLVR L7 linked to my G35X's bluetooth. which works pretty well (at least on my end). I have tried following the manual's instructions for sending tones, like to enter your password for voicemail, etc. and it always just ends up with a continuous tone, that won't go off until I cycle the car and/or the phone on & off.

Any suggestions, other than the obvious just enter the numbers via the handset (sometimes its in my briefcase and not accesible - I thought that's the whole point of Bluetooth anyways)

Thanks in advance!!!

Sorry, I can't think of anything. I think this issue came up a few weeks ago. I don't remember the thread specifically, but you may find some answers by searching for it.

When my office voicemail answers (Octel) I just reach for my Blackberry to enter the # key. If anyone knows how to add #, * and pauses into the Bluetooth dialing directory, I'd like to know too?

for those who might be wondering I did apply the "RTFM" principle before my o.p. (i.e. I did read the f---- manual).

The manual states that you can press the "Dial" button and speak your numbers (password) etc. for the bluetooth system to dial during your existing call (i.e. "123456").

However, when I try that, my phone/car get stuck on one continuous tone and the existing call becomes unusable. In fact, I can't even make any other calls until I shut of the phone and car, cause that tone continues over the bluetooth system.

Is it my phone, is it the bluetooth system or something else?

Make sure the phone is capable of supporting this. My headset/motorola phone combo doesn't support letting me voice dial in the middle of a call. I have my vmail set so that I don't need a password to check voicemail so I can't delete or skip messages, but I usually only have to check one at a time anyways.

Which manual? The handset or the headset?

Does this work from the handset keyboard? If not, it is likely that the headset is not the issue ...
