My Bluetooth in my 2008 M35X Sucks! I have tried all the fixes and I am at wits end.
Is there an after market bluetooth system that will work with my factory bluetooth with navigation that will integrate seamlessly and not disable any of my radio/sat/nav functions??

So what is the exact issue with the Bluetooth?

What kind of bluetooth equipment are you having trouble linking with? a phone? an I-pod? a video player?

The people on the other end/receiving the call can not hear me and it is
Staticky. I cannot use it and have to take it off Bluetooth and return to handheld.

I'm connecting an iPhone 4S. I just want to be able to use my phone hands free.

Ah. I believe there is an option to increase the microphone sensitivity within the hidden setup. Search the forums for hidden settings I think for instructions. I think this is how it's performed. Turn off the radio. Holding the setting button down rotate the volume knob a full turn clockwise and the unit should enter settings. Somewhere in there you can turn up the microphones sensitivity.

Sounds like the mic in your headliner needs to be replaced

Nah I don't think you can do it - There is/was a recall I beleive tho, check with your dealer!

I had similar problems, especially echoing on the other end - You did go into the diag and setup screen by holding "settings" and turning your volume knob clockwise while the radio is off? Then increase or decrease the incoming volume? Also, when I first start my calls, once the it's ringing I turn the volume (on my radio volume knob) way down and gradualy increase as needed. This minimizes feedback/echoing... I have a iPhone 4s as well, got it working ok...
