Got our SL CVT just before the New Year. Already put over 3,000km on it. Both of us just love the car. However, mileage has been less than stellar (cold weather maybe!) betweeb 8.5 to 9.0 Litres/100km (or about 27mpg for our American friends).

When using voice-dail, the system would not let me dail say 905-123-4567 when I'm in the 905 area code (we need all 10-digits) saying that its a local call. Any ideas?

Any owners in Vancouver area have the same problem? They need 10 digits too.

Just winging off topic a bit - anybody know how much the blue tooth is to replace when 36 month warranty is up?

Had no problems with the ten digit thing here in Vancouver area. The only odd problem i've had is when voice dialing my son's cell (which isn't stored in my car's phonebook) it repeated the number back correctly and then proceeded to dial my wife's phone (which IS in the phonebook). Very strange.

I can not believe what is going around about the Versa tech package. Surely it is not true that Bluetooth will not accommodate 10 digit numbers. Every exchange in populated areas are not 10 digits. What has been the history for others. I would like to know because my V is in trans with the tech package.

There is a voice recognition calibration program in the bluetooth system. It is possible that the system doesn't completely recognize your voice, and you may need to run this calibration to get it to work correctly.

I had no problems with 10 digit dialing, 7 digit dialing, or 11 digit dialing. I would OCCASIONALLY have a problem where it though, when I said "call dad mobile", it would think I said dial #70.... and if it got frustrating, I just used the cell phone's call list to scroll down and dial. (I normally keep my phone on a belt holster since I'm a field tech).

pimco, the Versa's bluetooth doesn't care how many digits you dial. All it does is take all the digits that you tell it to dial and sends it to your phone. It is either your phone that is not handling them, or something else screwy going on with your phone. Now as others have mentioned, if the problem is that it is not recognizing what you tell it to dial, read up in the manual. It tells you the proper way to "speak" digits, and how to run through the speaker adaptation wizard.

I don't have problems when I call out the number, say, 905-123-4567; but I do when I say call home. Maybe it is because of my company issued Blackberry Pearl (love it by the way).

I just picked up my SL with convience, sirius satelite, audio package, sunroof..... Super Black Biege Interior....... Love it. I waited 6 months for it. I also have a blackberry pearl. My dealer helped me pair my phone before I drove off the lot. I've had the car three days. the bluetooth worked as it should for the first two and now as soon as I get in the car the phone links but i can't get to the radio or anything else. even though I'm not in a call it just stays in telephone mode. I tried deleting the phone and re pairing it and it still does it. I've called the dealership but they have not returned my call. Does anyone have any ideas? I was wondering if maybe it was some setting on the phone making it do that?

We have to use 10 digits here to, the system struggled a bit to understand me. North America cars are pre progammed for American west coast accents, I had to run though some adjustment thing my accent. but after that the only problem i had was with the actual phone itself not linking correctly with the car

Sorry for the late response to this.

This sounds like a malfunction with the head unit or bluetooth system. I would take the car to your Nissan dealer for service. See if one of their employees bluetooth phones does the same thing when hooked up ( i bet it does)... so they can replicate the problem.
