Hey guys,

Hopefully this hasn't been discussed in another thread, if so, sorry...

Is there a way to transfer your phonebook from the phone to the car?

My old car could do that, and use the voice dialing feature on the phone (if it had one).... i realllly miss it.

Its nice having the BT intregation, but man, why is it soooo basic? I also miss being able to play music from my phone via bluetooth

I don't think you can transfer the whole phone book, I think you canonly transfer 1 entry at a time.

This is because of 2 reasons.

#1 The AC needs a voice tag for each entry that you provide. If you couldtransfer the whole book you couldn't locate your entries cuz they wouldn'thave voice tags.

#2 You only get 30 entries per phone in the AC and most of us would havemore than that in our phones.

Thanks for the info...

That sucks..

My blackberry will auto train all my voice tags, and then my car would push that request to that, and bammmm

Oh well, i guess i can just put in the ones i use most

Any time I've tried to download from my phone, either of them, they disconnect.

The bluetooth does disconnect....you have to manually transfer the numberfrom your phone. Then when done it automatically reconnects.

Actually - you can download the entire phonebook - dependent on your model of phone....each phone has different bluetooth profiles and capabilities.

I have the LG Venus and i was able to transfer 70 (the max entry for the car's phonebook) all at one time. It all comes down to your phone - some bluetooth supported phones won't even transfer the phone book.
