Play with your phone volume settingsas well....not just the one's on the car. Some phones (my LG for example) have a bluetooth volume and that was all the way up. Lowering it removed the echo.

have they updated the bullentin to more clearly identify the echo problem with all ohone using the bluetooth connection? or does it specifically say the treo 700? Do issues that have been issued a Bulletin get fixed for free? a few people hav ementioned taking a "paper" in on the bulletin. Where would I find this "paper"?

It doesn't specify a phone, just bluetooth echo. The paper i talked about earlier was posted by someone else and it is the TSB (sp?) printout... unfortunately for you I deleted this from my computer less than 6 hours ago because I haven't been on the site in a while and didn't think anyone else would need it . sorry.

By the way I have gotten mine fixed and there have not been any problems since. Good luck.

I want to do this as well. Anyone else have the INFO? Is the TSB number sufficient to get the dealer going?

Called the service dept today tried to give them a heads up on what I wanted to do. I offered the bulletin # They said they cant just order the parts for a bulletin I needed to bring it in so they can diagnose and open a ticket... going in tomorrow for some other minor issues with balance and such will have them open the ticket I guess. Will keep you guys posted.

How long did the dealer take to order it or was it in stock? How long did the install take?

Dealer called. They said they have to have me come back and use my phone to prove the problem but don't guarantee they can cover it since it is just a bulletin not a safety recall...

Advice?

I just got mine back today from the same work as well. Unfortunately, people I call aren't reporting much of an improvement, but perhaps the problem wasn't as pronounced in my car as first thought.

Anywhooo... my service guy said that I got a brand new nav unit as well (not reman). Other than pairing my phone, I really haven't had a chance to play with it too much, but what have you found to be different or better?

Whats this navigation update you speak of? I am assuming you got the update in regards to the Bluetooth issue. But why did they update the nav and what are the changes?

Word of advice speak in a lower volume than you would normally on a "speaker phone". The new mic is extrememly sensitive and you will blow it out of the water if you speak loudly.. it will sound worse than before the transition to your other party.

Hopefully that helps.
