See your Infiniti dealer to determine if thisapplies to your vehicle.SERVICE PROCEDUREAs part of this procedure, you will be making a cutout for the microphone and trim in the headliner area shown.1. Remove driver/passenger A-Pillar trim.2. Remove driver/passenger sun visor.3. Remove driver/passenger handle attachments.4. Place masking or painters tape (one that will not leave residue) over the headliner area that will be cut.2/7 ITB07-036b5. Mark the center of the cut out: 113mm from side of and 2.3mm down from front edge of map lamp.6. Use a pencil to make rough outside markings on masking tape (48.5mm height / 50.9mm width on center).3/7 ITB07-036b7. Print the pattern below. If on your printed copy the line inside the drawing is 1 cm exactly, the pattern is toscale and is exactly the size and shape of the hole you need to cut.8. Lay provided pattern over the markings.9. Remove map lamp trim.10. Using a hobby-type or other sharp precision knife with a new blade, carefully cut the shape out of theheadliner material.11. Insert the microphone finisher to make sure there is a good fit.12. Remove the microphone finisher.4/7 ITB07-036b13. Remove the old Bluetooth microphone from the map lamp trim.14. Place the new cube in the old microphone location.5/7 ITB07-036b15. Route the new microphone to the new cutout.16. Tape the microphone harness in several places along complete routing to prevent squeaks and rattles.17. Remove the masking tape from the headliner that you placed in step 4.18. Reinstall the map lamp trim making all connections including microphone.19. Clip the new microphone into the microphone holder.6/7 ITB07-036b20. Attach the microphone holder to the microphone finisher.21. Clip the microphone finisher into the headliner.22. Replace the NAVI Control Unit or AV Control Unit (as applicable) from the Parts Information section of thisbulletin. If necessary refer to the AV (NAVI) Control Unit REMOVAL & INSTALLATION chapter in the AVsection of the appropriate Electronic Service Manual for Control Unit replacement directions.7/7 ITB07-036b
