Last week I bought a 2007 SL Sedan. Now I find that there is apparently no Cell available from my Cell carrier Alltel! Like a dummy, I didn't think to ask that question before I signed the dotted line, even though the Salesman bragged about the SL came with Bluetooth. Any suggestions, besides how to deal with that Salesman?

The Convenience Package, which gives you bluetooth, includes steering wheel audio controls, keyless ignition and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. I didn't get it, but even though I didn't have bluetooth I not regret not getting it for the other features. You can't buy bluetooth separately, so at least you didn't pay specifically for that feature.

I have Alltel (soon to be Verizon), they have plenty of phones that have bluetooth and should work with the Bluetooth in the Versa. My Motorola ROKR had no issues.

Which Roxer model do you have? I don't remember seeing any for sale on the Alltel Website. Looking at the Nissan "Cell phone compatibility" site shows 2 Motorola Rokers. An E1 model and a E8 model. BTW: R U planning on switching to Verizion next month or staying with Alltel. From what I have read so far, it looks like it might be a better deal to stay with Alltel.

To: kc5f The Sedan I bought is a "Certified Vehicle" and one of the selling (or should I say "buying") points was the Bluetooth. Of course, if you weren't interested in that feature, you won't miss it.

Pretty sure all the RAZR phones would be compatiable as well. Never really heard too many that didn't work with the Versa.

They are moving me to verizon starting in July, no choice in the matter. Everything seems to remain the same though.

I totally agree with kc5f. The steering wheel, audio controls on the wheel and keyless ignition are worth the price of the package.

The Nissan bluetooth has been so poor and inconsistent that we quit using it over a year ago and use earpiece bluetooth units instead.

This thread led me to try the Nissan bluetooth again and pinpoint where the problems seem to be with the system (microphone, interface, etc.) so I could check to see if something reallly needed to be replaced by the dealer. I linked my phone up again and wouldn't you know, it's been working extremely well for a week now.

A year ago the voice recognition was totally worthless. Now it hasn't missed a calling attempt since I started using it again.

Wierd.

Instead of paying $2,000 (at our dealer anyways) extra to have the convenience package, I spent $250 for a Pioneer deck with built-in bluetooth that works awesomely with my basic flip phone that has limited hands free only bluetooth. And the sound system sounds even better. I may not have steering wheel controls but I have a remote I suppose.
