My 2014 always read a text to me. My phone updated to Android 5.1 and it doesn't pick them up anymore. I deleted the bluetooth and reconnected it but it still doesn't read them. Any ideas? Thanks.

Call Nissan support at 1-800-647-7261. They have bluetooth experts who can help you. Shortly after we got our Rogue we had a problem getting the contacts downloaded from phone to bluetooth in vehicle. I called the support number and one of their bluetooth support people talked us through the problem. The guy who helped us was great, knew his stuff, and was very patient.

I think you may have answered your own question. Did you try rolling back to the previous version to see if that solved the problem?

Hubby asked service while he took my car in for an oil change. They said to bring it in next time I'm in the area and they will see what they can do. As far as rolling back to the previous operating system on the phone...I don't want to. I know what the problem is. I want to know a fix to the problem. If all else fails then I will call the bluetooth experts. Thanks.

I took it in to talk to a tech. He said that Nissan has not updated the vehicle software. Anything ove Android 4.4 an alot of iphones are not working now. He said it doesn't look like it will be updated anytime soon. I also talked to online chat rep and was told the same thing. Just a heads up for those that update you're OS...it may not work in your car after.

Strange that it works on some phones and not others. My wife has a relatively inexpensive LG Leon phone ($79) that she bought at Walmart on their Family Mobile plan. It came with Android version 5.0.2 and Bluetooth does read the text messages to us in our Rogue.

I have been in touch with bluetooth experts and consumer affairs departments. They all said the same thing as the technician. CS said that they are waiting and hoping for Android to fix it with an update.
