Does anyone know of a fix or replacement for the microphone in my V. It seems like it doesn't pick up well. Everyone always tells me that I sound far away, or in a tunnel, or I'm breaking up. Anyone else with these problems?

While I've read similar complaints on this board, we've had nothing but stellar performance from our BT system. Even at highway speeds, what with inevitable wind and road noise, the folks we've called via BT have all said that it sounds fine. I make a point to ask if the quality is okay during conversations, and no one has complained yet. Not sure why there'd be such a marked difference in performance from car to car, but that's too bad.

It could be a phone issue. My bluetooth sounds good to listeners on the other line. Maybe for those of you that have a bad sound, try to register another phone (borrow one from a friend of a spouse) and test that out.

One side question. Does anyone have call display on their radio instead of just "Telephone" being displayed on the radio LCD. Is this a phone compatibility issue or does the versa not offer that option (kind of like fuel consumption function in the trip computer? ). Or is this just that the radio is a bluetooth microphone/headphones only and does not transmit phone numbers.

Must not be a compatibility issue as my Versa does the same while my wife's 08 Altima will show the incoming caller's name while using my old V551.

I too have wondered about this. Some phones just have terrible reception/sound quality on their own. One of my buddies had an older Sprint flip-phone that was one of the quietest phones I've ever encountered - even with the volume to the max. So does that carry through when the phone is used via BT?

I've got a first-gen Razr, and the quality over the Versa's BT is great. It would be interesting to find out what kind of cell phones people are using...

I have a Samsung D807. My mom has the same phone and sounds great in her Toyota. Mine sounds distant in my V.

I have used two phones in my Versa so far; a Motorola E815 and my new Samsung i760. They both worked flawless. In my 4 months owning my Versa I have only had one complaint, but it was when my battery on the E815 was low and the other person was on a cell phone too.
