I purchased a new head unit that has bluetooth. My current mounting position is near the top of the windshield (driver side). The sound seems to be a little muffled - I read that someone had another person tell them that their voice sounded like it was in a fishbowl, that might be a good way to describe the way my voice sounds with the mic in it's current position.
I have several questions:
Has anyone determined an optimal mounting position for the bluetooth mic?
If I get a 3.5mm splitter and get a second mic, would the sound quality improve? I'm guessing there would be some loss, but I'm able to increase the gain from the head unit.
Is the sound quality determined by my phone, or by the mic? When I've used a bluetooth headset with this phone, there's no distortion, so I'm guessing the sound quality is determined by the mic.
Is there a specific mic that anyone would recommend? I'm thinking of getting one of the twin mics that's used with the Parrot bluetooth kit.
Any help would be appreciated.
