So I've searched and can't find this subject brought up. I have a HTC Hero. It is on the nissan list for being compatible. My problem is it will pair and connect, I can do everything with it except in a call the audio isn't coming through the speakers and the in car mic doesn't work. I can place and receive calls, caller id works, i can use the phonebook, and everything else. I just can't talk without holding my phone to my head. Has anyone else come across this issue and does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks guys.

1. What Version of Android is your HTC Hero running? 2.0/2.1/2.2/2.3?

If it's an older build. I would suggest updating or flashing a custom ROM from XDA Developers located here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=508

Do you have a lot of third party apps installed? Maybe a full backup and wipe and then test to rule out software corruption.

I would search the forums on XDA and see what they say. I had a Nexus One with 2.2 and had to use CyanogenMod Roms to get mine to work. Pretty much the same issue.

I'm running cyanogenmods 2.2 on it. I've tried flashing back to stock 2.1, I've tried wiping and starting over, I've removed all 3rd party apps, I've even looked through XDA's forum. I can't find anything. I'm at a total lost.

That sucks. It may be compatible but maybe only a certain version they tested. Have you tried upgrading the Radio firmware? This may work but it's risky. I don't know if they have a newer radio firmware, although if you are running CM 2.2 it probably needed the new firmware anyways. :/ Reason to upgrade to the Nexus S? lol

Yeah, I've got the latest firmware. Oh well, I'm up for an upgrade next month. I'm thinking it's time for the EVO.
