Hey guys,

I just picked up my 2010 Rogue SL with Premium and leather packages, chrome grill, roof rack crossbars, floor mats, aluminum kick plates, and bumper protecter, for $22,350 plus TTL.

I have tried using the bluetooth with both of my phones and am having the same problem. Whoever I talk to says I sound very far away and distant. I have tried leaning forward and they say it helps a little bit but it still does not sound very good. Does anyone else have this problem or have any suggestions on how to make it sound more clear? I have searched but did not find any answers.

Hi Hammester... Good price!
If you are talking about when you are setting the phone up for voice commands, (example you record the command "Call Home"...) and it sounds distant and far away when it repeats the command back to you.... that's not a problem... its working as designed. When you conduct a normal conversation you will hear all the calls / conversation just fine, but when you are setting up the voice recognition commands they can sound distant/far away when the system repeats your voice commands back to you.

You can get improve on the playback quality/volume slightly if you speak directly into the microphone. The microphone is not located in the radio or dash area but in the overhead console. You will see small slits near the map lights where it is located. That said you should never need to speak at the microphone just normally as you sit behind the wheel.

He's talking about how he sounds to the caller on the other end. I don't recall having issues like this with our Rogue's BT system. We have had sound quality issues but it has been due to breakups and the issue seems to come and go, affecting some calls but not most.

Takeshi is correct, I am talking about how I sound to the person on the other end. I can hear them crystal clear but they are having problems hearing me.

opps... my bad. I should have read your original post a little closer. Sorry

In checking previous posts it appears this issue has been discussed before...

The last thread in this next ink mentions getting a new mic...but no follow up if it resolved the problem.

Hopefully if you take it back to the dealer they can check it out and resolve the situation.
