Bluetooth issue

I have a SL-AWD with Bluetooth. I have had this wierd issue occur a couple of times and was wondering if it was worth the visit to the dealer (and they don't end up making things worse). Most of the time I am able to make and receive calls over bluetooth (HP IPAQ phone). A couple of times, when I start the car for the first time - the radio display shows Call and the timer starts counting. This is when my phone doesn't show anything related to a call. When I do actually use the phone to make the call - the call is established, and when I disconnect - the radio switches back to either CD/Radio. So the issue is that I don't get radio/cd and I have to make a dummy call on my cell phone and disconnect immediately so I can get cd/radio - and I have to go through this procedure for something as trivial as listening to radio.

Anyone else with a rogue experience such issues? Is it worth - and does it work to go to the dealer to get such issues sorted out?

Yikes! What a pain!

It seems some others on here have had Bluetooth issues, if I remember correctly.

As for me, I have Bluetooth in my Rogue, but my phone isn't bluetooth ready and I'm not ready to upgrade my phone right now.

Good luck!

You know, I've had a Bluetooth issue once or twice, as well. Even though my phone seems to be connected (Bluetooth light is blinking), when I command a "Phone Book" entry, it notifies me that no phone is available and I need to set one up. On other occasions, it worked without a hitch. I wrote it off to the crappy, and long overdue for an upgrade Moto Razr I have, but maybe there is something wrong with the Rogue's Bluetooth, after all...probably wouldn't do any good taking it to the dealer, anyway...

Have you tried just hitting the hang up button on the steering wheel instead of making a dummy call?

I'm not having any such problems with mine (I'm using a Sony Ericsson phone).

I would highly doubt the dealer would have any way to diagnose this, unless there's an available firmware update (assuming these things can be updated to begin with), and assuming the problem isn't actually with a signal sent by your phone.

Yup, I've had this issue a handful of times, although it hasn't happened in at least the past 3 months. I have a HTC Touch, a windows Mobile device. What I did was delete the car from the phone. Then re-sync it, except I put the phone in the back seat for the initial sync, that way it would choose the strongest channel for my phone. Haven't had the issue since.Again, delete the car from the phone, and not the phone from the car, because then you would lose all your voice contacts you saved.

That might be a problem with your phone.

I have a Blackberry Curve, and it does the same thing when I take my regular bluetooth off of the charger. But then, my wife has a BB Pearl and it does not do it to hers when she gets in the car.

So check the settings on your phone. That could be the problem.

i have been using the bluetooth but touchwood have not found any issues...

what you can do is as others have described*Delete the "Bluetooth Handsfree" from the phone*Turn "Bluetooth off" the car off by going in the setup*Turn off the car* Start the car and the blueeoth. Start the "Pair Phone" process again*And as dobby10 said, keep the phone in the back seat

this should do the trick....

I have a TMobile Dash (HTC Excalibur) with WM6 and I get the same problem once every 2 months or so. Usually a soft-reset of the phone removes that problem. I have noticed that the bluetooth stack on my phone causes me grief quite a bit.
