Looking for help, please. My 2013 Rogue Bluetooth was working fine for 10 months, then all of a sudden, it stopped recognizing my call commands by contact name. I double checked my smartphone (BB Bold 9900) that it was paired properly, set to send contacts automatically, all was as it should be. Also when I hit the key to transfer my contacts it sent one of 213 and was interrupted, I assume by the the car's software. I have rebooted and contacted my servicing dealer with no solution as of yet. Why would it work for 10 months and then give me problems?

It is exceedingly frustrating not being able to call out by my contact's name (especially after it worked flawlessly for so long).

Any ideas? Please respond to [email protected]

Things happen, it's modern technology, it works when it wants to. It's possible you've got a defective headunit, which would be covered under warranty. My last Rogue had a bad usb port, and the unit was replaced free of charge.

This is with the in car system through the dash. It does not involve a head set or a USB port. My problem still exists. Maybe you miss understood my problem.

Nope, understood you just fine. To paraphrase a British acquaintance of mine, "I speak American, I understand English."

Before l can assist you further, please take a moment to research Bluetooth technology:

So why do you think the contact transfer was interrupted by the car... It was set up properly via the smartphone. Is it a software or firmware issue with the car system?

 It wasn't "interrupted by the car", it's more likely hardware failure. The HEADUNIT (car stereo) needs to be checked.

Frankly I'm not sure about all that as Nissan doesn't list your phone as being compatible. http://www.nissanusa.com/bluetooth/search And that may be the reason it's acting up.

I will have my dealer check the car stereo system, thanks. (The perplexing concern is that it worked for 10 months without interruption). Thanks and have a good night.
