I absolutley love my new car. My only complaint would be the microphone for the blue tooth built in hands free kit. I'm not even that crazy about hands free kits, but its pretty nice to just get in the car with a cell phone in your pocket and it just automatically transfers over and works with the hands free kit. However, the microphone in the ceiling sucks... everyone I talk to wants to know if im standing in a wind tunnel, lol.. (windows up, radio off)... also for anybody to hear me at all i basically have to stare up and speak directly into the microphone... which kind of defeats the purpose of hands free.

Does anybody have a 2007 g35 coupe that can confirm that they have the same problem or confirm that I just need to take it to the dealership?

It isn't the microphone itself it is Infiniti's poor placement of the microphone and there is not much you can do for it.

When you are sitting in the car driving you obviously look and speak forward. The ideal placement for the speaker would have been on the pillar to your left as you are looking out the front windshield but some idiot thought it would be better to put it on the front of the sunroof thing where your voice does not naturely project towards it.

You can take it back to the dealer but I doubt you will get much improvement no matter what you do.

Other may chime in with a different opinion though. Just my $0.02.

I just found a TSB for the M series where they replace the mic with a new one and put it in a new position. We need to get them to do this with the G Series as well.

TSB (ITB07-036)

I found this on the Infiniti help web sit.

I get complaints about the microphone as well. But my biggest problem is that I can only call out. Can't receive calls. But that is a problem with my Palm 755. Only the 755p works with the G35 apparently.

Common problem. I have to speak loudly in the car, almost to the point of yelling to be heard clearly. Must look pretty funny to someone outside the car.
