Bluetooth disconnecting randomly

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Is anyone else having a problem with thier bluetooth disconnecting about every 15 minutes or so while using bluetooth audio streaming?

I didnt have any issues when i was on android, but I switched to an Iphone 6s and now whenever I stream bluetooth audio, every 15 minutes or so, the connection drops and automatically reconnects... It's really annoying, especially because even though it reconnects, I still have to manually hit play to get music to continue....

I have a 2010 EX35 with the nav...

Can you please provide more information?
1) Which carrier are you on? (Sprint,Verizon, etc.)
2) Which iOS is installed on your phone? 8.1; 8.1.1; 8.1.2; 8.1.3; 8.2; 8.3; 8.4; 9.1
3) Have you tried upgrading/downgrading the iOS to see if that resolves the issue?

Availability of specific features is dependent upon the phone's Bluetooth® support. I seem to remember reading somewhere that Infiniti was still testing the compatibility of iOS9.

Did you try reverting back to an earlier version of the iOS to see if the problem still exists?

still having this issue. I had the dealer upgrade the bluetooth firmware and that didnt help. I deleted and re-added my phones and that didnt help.

It seems to disconnect every 15-20 minutes or so. It seems to do it when the audio player is trying to read track names. Driving me crazy.

I cant be the only one here that has a ex35 with nav and a Iphone 6S!

I have the iPhone 6 and bluetooth and no issues yet...BUT (on a separate subject) my XM Radio has been cutting out for 10-15 seconds at a time almost daily recently... Time to dump that subscription.

I'm half tempted to just factory reset the infotainment system completely. There is a setting in the secret menu to do so, but Im worried it will make things worse possibly.

There's a "user data initialization" and a "accessory initialization" I know the accessory initialization requires the use of a Consult III.

I also have this problem. I do not know a fix. I have a Iphone 6 and an Inifiniti EX35 2012. Same symptoms, Bluetooth disconnects consistently after 15 minutes of working perfectly.

Good news. IOS 10 seemed to have fixed this issue. The Iphone 6s now connects to my car MUCH more reliably and doesnt disconnect every 15 mins or so.
