hokay.I have a little issue with the wiring on my u13 bluebird installation in a b14. I believe this is for the cam position sensor. It looks to me like the stock wiring harness doesn't have a plug that fits this. has anybody out there done this before? i might have to splice some wires...

ok, here's a pic of my car as it was originally....

this is what I'm working with now on the bluebird...

this one is on my B13 sentra.. hopefully it turns out looking something like this....

Any input is appreciated. thanks!

You must use the oem distributor for the b14 on the U13 motor.

oh ok. I'll look into that. I do have an aftermarket temp sensor installed and working...

So on another note, What do I need to do about a coil on the distributor??? I see how the connection is made through the cap, but I'm confused by the fact that there's no coil (at least where I would know to look) on the original engine. As the BB has coil right there in plane sight with the wire going to it. this is where I'm like WTF?!?

thanks for your help.... I appreciate it more than you know. I gotta get this thing running.

Your B14 wiring harness is different from the b13 because the b14 has an internal coil in the distributor. That is why you have to use your distributor and everything will plug up as it did.

Very cool. I'm glad you said that. I'll rig it all up and give it a try.

You've been a huge help, I wish I could return the favor!

ok my distributor is installed and working properly. I have a spark in 4 cylinders. very nice.

No start yet, still troubleshooting.

I have fuel. I have spark. I think the issue is in the vacuum lines.

well I got it to start but it won't idol on it's own. I have to stay on the gas pedal or it will stall pretty quick. I'm makin' progress. The Engine itself sounds good and solid. No obvious problems
