That's right! I finished the project today. It took me 2 days to finish due to a lack of time but I was able to run the last 2 wires today after work. I now have power folding mirrors on my 97 alty. There is a place in NZ that is dismantling JDM Nissans and since not even I can get BB parts here in the states I decided to try those guys. They hooked me up pretty well.

The mirrors fold by way of a polarity reversing switch. They both fold open and closed at the same time which is rather hollywood. Well Hollywood for someone like me. I am working on making a short 30 second clip of the mirrors in action. I'll let everyone know when it is done.

Yes, post it up. I would like to see the finished product. I thought about doing the same thing to my WRX. I have the ability to fold my side mirrors, but not mechanically.

What's cool is I took only the motors from the BB mirrors(future reference for any others thinking abot doing this mod...only buy the motors, not the entire mirrors) and transplanted them into the altima mirror housing. I did use the JDM mirror glass though(also buy the glass along with the motors, thats all you really need). Another cool thing which I am still getting used to...both mirror glasses are convex. Panoramic view on the drivers side mirror, something that takes getting used to but in the end is way better line of sight. The altima mirror glass will not fit on the JDM motor and vice versa. I will have the vid up soon. A friend is gonna fim it but he doesnt know when he will be able to do it yet.

I would love to put that mod on... I would connect it to my Alpine alarm so that when I arm the system, the mirrors would fold in, and when I disarmed the system... the mirrors would fold out. I figure that would be pretty coo. How much was the mod?

sounds like a cool mod man, my altima mirrors are so big, i have an o2, and my car gets into my garage with about 1 1/2 inches on each side, but well worth the risk, never hit it yet :)

What I really want is the rear wiper off of the Bluebird SSS. I have tracked one down but installation is not gonna be very fun.

Still waiting on getting my rear wiper install. I heard from Panorama Autospares that they have a dealership opening in the US. We will be able to get imported Bluebird parts right on US soil soon.
